THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL ORGINAL SEASCAPE PAINTING BY THE ARTIST CHARLES ALLEN. THERE IS ANOTHER ARTIST WITH THE NAME OF CHARLES ALLEN WHICH IS FROM A EARLIER TIME PERIOD IN THE 20TH CENTURY. THIS IS AN ARTIST FROM A LATER TIME PERIOD AND IS NOT THE ARTIST WITH THE NAME OF CHARLES CURTIS ALLEN. IT WAS DONE ON CANVAS IN EITHER OIL OR ACRYLIC. THE PICTURE FRAME IS DONE IN A RUSTIC LOOKING WOOD. I DO NOT KNOW MUCH ABOUT THE ARTIST EXCEPT HIS WORK WAS DISPLAYED ON THE OREGON COAST. I HAVE HAD THIS PAINTING IN STORAGE FOR AT LEAST 15 YEARS AND I HAVE NEVER ATTEMPTED TO SELL IT. THERE IS A SMALL HOLE ABOUT THE SIZE OF THE END OF A INKPEN IN THE CLOUDS ON THE PAINTING THAT I HAVE POINTED OUT IN PICTURE NUMBER 4... IT COULD ONLY BE SEEN ON CLOSE INSPECTION. THERE IS ALSO A CHIP ON THE TOP OF THE BACK FRAME WHICH IS NOT VISABLE FROM THE FRONT.I BOUGHT THIS PAINTING AT AN ART AUCTION .IT WOULD MAKE A LOVELY DISPLAY FOR ANY ROOM IN A PERSONS HOME.
