Description: Under the supervision and direction of the EHS Director/Regional Manager, the EHS CDD Specialist promotes the school readiness of Early Head Start's infants and toddlers by providing technical assistance, mentoring, and training to the staff and agency. The planning children's readiness to learn involves culturally responsive, integrated service delivery of child development, disabilities, and mental health that supports learning environments to: a) enhance children's cognitive, social and emotional development and, b) promote children's growth in language, literacy, mathematics, science, social and emotional development, creative arts, physical development, and approaches to learning.
This is a 32 hours per week, 45 weeks per year bargaining unit position.
Duties: Technical assistance: Content development and consultation.
Peer to Peer Coaching and Mentoring
Quality Assurance: Evaluation and Assessment
Compliance and Review
Assist CD/D Consultant in development and implementation to groups, regional, and on-site trainings
Assist in providing regular site visits to all EHS of Lane County locations to monitor the environments, curriculum, and assessments.
Assist with the coordination of the annual Program Self-Assessment and the follow-up reporting.
Assist with developing and maintaining written policies and procedures that are in compliance with the Head Start Performance Standards.
Work in collaboration with clerical and data tracking staff to insure that Child Development services are tracked and accounted for.

Qualifications: Minimum of Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Development, Early Intervention or related degree (with minimum of 6 classes with primary focus on ECE/ECD), Master-s degree desirable.
Knowledge and experience in working with early childhood mental health and disabilities services.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills, internet and e-mail.
Current enrollment in the Child Care Division- Central Background Registry.
Valid Oregon Driver-s License and access to transportation
