Summary:
Total patient care of adult critically ill and telemetry cardiovascular patients.
Includes recovery of the immediate post open-heart, cardio-thoracic, and vascular surgical patients, management through the hospital stay to discharge from a one-stop unit.
Management of Pre-Post PCI patients, AMI, cardiogenic shock, cardiac tamponade, rhythm disturbances.
Assist with cardiac procedures such as cardioversions, TEE, pericardiocentesis, transvenous pacemaker, device implants.
Must possess good EKG/rhythm interpretation skills, arrhythmia management, hemodynamic management including IABP, vasoactive medications, ventilator management, moderate sedation.
Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL / LICENSING:
RN with current Oregon License required.
Current ACLS
and BLS certification required.
CCRN highly preferred.
Qualifications:
Two years critical care experience and a minimum of two years acute care experience. Recent open heart surgery recovery experience preferred.
Must have successfully completed a critical care class.
Successful completion of Open Heart training program.
Attain C-1 status within 12 months of hire
SPECIAL NOTES:
Critical care nurse with OHS recovery, cardiology procedure experience highly preferred. Opportunity for cross training in the cardiac cath lab.
Job: CardiovascularEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
