Large Medical Center looking for a Director of Perioperative Services.
Essential
job
Functions:
- Planning, development, administration and evaluation. Maintain knowledge base of current
nursing practices. - Scheduling. Hiring, counseling and termination. Staff development and
team building. Conflict resolution and peer communication.

public relations
. Budgeting. Monetary compliance with regulations contracts. Work
independently and good time management. Sound judgment.
Communications skills; verbal, written and electronic. Writing and updating policies and
procedures. Manage resources in unit. Coordinate Maintenance of equipment and supplies.
Accepts responsibility, accountability and authority as a unit
manager
on a 24 hour basis.
Utilizes knowledge, methods and techniques pertinent to directing, guiding and assisting
nursing management and staff members in fulfilling their responsibilities.
Director Perioperative Services Education/Licensing:
Current RN License. Bachelor' degree preferred. Current BLS, NRP and ACLS.
Qualifications/Skills:
Demonstrated leadership qualities; good communication skills, ability to inspire confidence
in others, ability to plan, implement and evaluate change, commitment to promoting growth
of others. Ability to perform essential job functions and job specific competencies, critical
thinking skills, strong leadership abilities and excellent communication skills.
Bottom line :
1. RN License.
2. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
3. Current BLS, NRP, and ACLS.
4. Management experience in Perioperative Services.
