Responsibilities:
Correctional Registered Nurses provide adequate health care by assessing, diagnosing and treating inmates while oftentimes limiting the use of potentially dangerous materials, like scalpels and intravenous drips.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Maintain proper safety procedures, monitor medical supplies, such as needles and medication Monitor patients' progress and responses to medical treatments, as well as administer medication and maintain disease clinics much like the RN in a more traditional setting Assist physicians with medical treatments, administer prescribed medication, apply surgical dressings and provides emergency first aid care Promote a therapeutic environment to ensure inmates are treated in a professional, ethical and tactful manner To Apply for this Job Click Here Recommended Skills Courtesy Ethics First Aid And Preparedness Medical Emergency Phlebotomy Surgical Procedures Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
