JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Chief Development Officer, the Program Director, Development is responsible for maintaining and increasing funding from high net-worth individuals in support of the mission and vision of PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center. This position is also responsible for meeting specific annual revenue goals and contributing to the overall achievement of development team goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1.Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward qualified prospects and donors.
2.Manage a portfolio of approximately 150 qualified relationships and apply moves management approach to the portfolio, with a custom cultivation strategy for each donor.
3.Support the Chief Development Officer in developing the strategic plan objectives and create annual goals for individual giving, including establishing a strategic and systematic focus on closing multi-year commitments from high net-worth individuals.
4.Routinely network with community groups and interact with high net-worth individuals for the purpose of cultivating personal relationships and developing personal giving.

6.Write proposals, follow-up letters, and introductory letters and prepare background information and materials for cultivation and solicitation activities.
7.Partner with other development directors, senior staff, or volunteer solicitors in making solicitations.
8.Plan and implement major donor-related cultivation events and activities

10.Create and implement a moves management process for the development team
11.Develop an annual budget for the fundraising activities of the directors of development, and meet or exceed the budgeted goals.
12.Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
education:
Bachelor's Degree in related field, or a combination of education and applicable work experience, required.
experience/training:
Minimum of five years successful experience in non-profit fundraising, with a proven track record of cultivating, soliciting and stewarding donors resulting in gifts in the $50,000 to $100,000 range.
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with donors, team members and volunteers.
Knowledge of development principles, fundraising strategies and ethics including familiarity with moves management donor tracking systems.
Experience in effectively managing, coaching and supporting development staff and volunteer face-to-face solicitors.
Experience with capital campaigns.
Experience planning major donor cultivation events preferred.
license/certification:
Certification as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) strongly preferred.
other skills:
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with staff, hospital management, community leaders, hospital contributors and potential contributors in both professional and social settings.
Ability to work efficiently and responsibly in an environment with multiple work demands, short time frames and minimum supervision.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software suite to include: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, MS Frontpage, and MS Vision.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
